MOTORCYCLE SAFETY INSTRUCTOR

 

We are seeking passionate and professional Motorcycle Safety Instructors to teach new and experienced riders essential riding skills and safety techniques. Instructors deliver hands-on range instruction in accordance with state and national safety program standards. Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, a commitment to student success, and a passion for promoting safe motorcycling practices.

Responsibilities

Candidate will be responsible for the following:

– Conduct on-cycle range training sessions following approved curriculum guidelines;

– Provide clear, supportive instruction to students of all experience levels;

– Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement;

– Administer written and skills evaluations fairly and consistently;

– Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed training sessions;

– Prepare and maintain training equipment, motorcycles, and range sites as needed;

– Accurately complete all required paperwork, including student evaluations, incident reports, and course completion documents;

– Maintain a professional and positive learning environment;

– Participate in periodic instructor meetings, updates, and ongoing training as required; and

– Represent the organization’s commitment to motorcycle safety and student success.

 

Qualifications

To apply for this position, the following is a list of preferred qualifications:

– Current Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) RiderCoach certification or ability to complete certification training (provided for eligible candidates);

– Valid motorcycle license with a clean riding record;

– Minimum of 3–5 years of recent motorcycle riding experience;

– Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills;

– Ability to instruct and manage groups of students in both classroom and outdoor range environments;

– Basic motorcycle handling and maintenance knowledge;

– Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and variable schedules as needed;

– Commitment to promoting safe riding practices and lifelong learning; and

– Previous teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience preferred but not required.
